The Sailing Experience

GO WEST COAST CRUISING

Go West Coast Cruising is a charter company offering skippered cruises around Scotland’s West coast. Our aims are to offer maximum flexibility in the choice of cruise available and to ensure that the experience is thoroughly entertaining and memorable.

The sailing boat, a Beneteau Oceanis 40 named INSATIABLE – delivered in June 2007 – is superbly fitted out having a spacious cockpit and main saloon accommodation, very generous double cabins and complete with Eberspacher warm air heating throughout. The layout is shown below.

INSATIABLE and her safety equipment inventory comply in all respects with the requirements of the Maritime Coastguard Agency being the branch of the Department of Transport with Statutory Authority in this regard.

The skipper/owner is an enthusiastic and experienced sailor having started dinghy sailing in the Pentland Firth a good few years ago but in more recent times has sailed and raced successfully his previous boat – a Beneteau First Class 8 – principally in the Middle East.  He is keen and delighted to share his knowledge and experiences, either in lighthearted exchanges or in more formal tuition sessions, with those who may be interested. An indication of areas of interest and the preferred nature of sessions at the time of booking would be of advantage.
